Cousin TeRonda

We got to see Jason's cousin TeRonda today. Yay! She and Jason had so much fun at reunions and growing up together. It's fun to be with them when they are around each other. Let's just say there's A LOT of laughing involved. We're excited that we might get to see TeRonda and her husband Rick a little more often now that they have family in Richland.

Sitting on the Engine

Uncle Travis came by to work on his truck. Laney and Claire thought it was pretty cool to get to sit on the front of it for a few minutes.

The wheels on the bus

They absolutely love riding the bus. Emma even went so far as to say that it's more fun on the bus when Paul rides. Awesome! I'm so glad that they like the bus; I had my worries.

Park Play

We were invited to Columbia Point Park for a picnic tonight. That is a really great park. It wasn't too busy and they had a great toy for the kids plus lots of trees for shade! A lot of Pasco's parks are new so the trees are still young = no shade.

First Wildcat Day

We're Wildcats Now!
I was a wildcat in Elementary.
Our Second Grade and Kindergarten handwriting
Two kids off to school.
Don't they just look so big?

Emma sitting in her classroom.
I am so impressed with Emma this year.
She wasn't so worried about leaving me.

There wasn't much room on the carpet, but that is where he was told to sit.
He was determined to do what he was told.

We made first day buckets for our teachers. They drew pictures and then we scanned them and printed them onto card stock to make cards. We threw in some box tops, because what teacher doesn't love box tops? An apple, some chocolate, and a homemade apple/inspire necklace to finish it off.

Buffins

We got some of this really crazy play foam (remoldable sculpting beads). The kids love it because you can shape it and play with it, but it never dries out. They're latest creations are buffins. They mix them up and then put them under the chair to cook in the oven. They even call regular muffins buffins now.

Our canopy died

We had just used it to shade our canning efforts.
It helped so much.

We left it out and the winds came
and carried it up, up and away!

I'm sad!

Peach Party: Canning Style

Before the real work started.
The happy helpers.

Beautiful.

Tim and Jason kept track of the
blanching and water baths

Haley, Mom E, and I worked on
peeling, slicing, and filling jars. As you
can see, we had a lot of little helpers.

Claire, Ben, and Athen
had fun in the mud.

43+ jars.
A Good Day.

Back to School with Pizza Hut

The kids completed their summer reading program through the Mid Columbia Library system. They got a free personal pan pizza coupon for Pizza Hut. We invited Grandma Z, Aunt Cherice, Aunt Shelly, Uncle Kent, Aunt Julie, and cousins and turned it into our back to school celebration.

Ben, Ethan, Paul

Emma and Jenna

Darn, I didn't get any photos of the delicious pizza.
It was good, believe me.
