This Week...
...we took a look at Lainey's preschool loot. These are all the things she made in preschool that were super fun, but not necessarily feasible to keep forever. She had a great teacher in Miss Amy.
...we had the spring women's broadcast and service project. This was my first event in my new calling as Pasco Stake Humanitarian. It was a little unnerving, but also exciting. I am so looking forward to being able to find needs in the community and fill them. We worked on tying fleece blankets and ripping out the seems of the Benton County Corrections uniform pants (the elastic got fried in the dryer).
We invited our new friend Cierra to come and enjoy the event with us. She really liked making the blankets for donation.

...we had the Hull's over for cabbage salsa and visiting. What a great family! We sure enjoy hanging out with them.
...we worked on putting up the fence slats. Elder Cordon and Elder Scott came to help. Travis and Kelvin were also helping. It went pretty fast.
...we walked to the new park by our house to play some basketball. Each child carried their own. We shot hoops and did some drills.
The kings met us there to shoot hoops and play games.
...the spring blossoms are gorgeous. I love seeing them out on the trees. We would get a tree like these if they didn't drop the plums in the fall.
...Amber had her baby. Maddox joins the world. He is such a cutie! I stopped by to visit a bit with the new mama and get caught up on how the delivery went.
...we made up Easter buckets for our neighbors with a baking theme. We put a #Hallelujah card in the bucket and delivered them to our nonmember friends and neighbors. The kids went with us. We had such a great time meeting/visiting with our neighbors and telling them a little bit about how Jesus Christ makes this time of year so wonderful.
...we went to the Windermere customer appreciation dinner/event at the Carousel of Dreams. Our realtor, Leslie Retter-Sautell is so great! I recommend her and their office to anyone looking to move. She did a great job for us and we became good friends in the process. Jason was on duty, but he met us there for dinner.
...I hosted a Perfectly Posh party for my friend Katie Crenshaw. It's lotions and body creams. My friends were nice enough to come. I posted this picture to Facebook and reminded people that they didn't want to miss out on my craziness.
Lainey was really cute. She wanted to show everyone how to use the products. Shelly Norman was good enough to let Lainey do a lip scrub demonstration.
Once Amber showed up with baby Maddox, nothing else mattered. The kids all wanted to see him and hold him. I took a turn and then we passed him around.
...We finished our fence work. We couldn't take a six foot fence all the way to the sidewalk and we didn't want to lose thirty feet of space at the back. So we decided to make it a three foot fence and use the space as a garden area. We had quite a few helpers from the ward. Ken Luke, Dane Riner, Elder Cordon and Elder Adylot (he was on exchanges from the Snake River ward). Cierra came with the kids. And shocker - her husband, Adam, came to help as well. We went and got pizza for lunch and worked until it was done. We were so grateful for the help. Ken and Adam worked together long after everyone else had to leave. Elder Adylot showed us the cool way he laces his shoes. Actually, I noticed his funky laces and asked about them. Then I had to take a picture of them. Ha!
I made this Jalapeno Popper dip especially for the Elders. It's so good that I didn't mind whipping it up in a flash. Jason brought some home from work one night. Justin Gerry's wife, Jo, made it and sent some for me. We're hooked!
Jalapeno Popper Dip
2 8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup green onions, diced
1 1/2 Jalapenos, diced, *I don't add the seeds because I can't handle the heat.

...we bought a black tulip magnolia tree. We had one at our last house and absolutely loved it. The blossoms are so dark and rich in color. We found the perfect spot for it along our new fence.
...we found yet another PTO stash at the elementary school. Tales of a PTO closet here we go. We found: one baby shoe sporting a McGee shoelace tag (probably a prize from a Fun Run), pencils from the pencil machine, Pasco Bulldog pom poms, a Frisbee, heart bubble bottles, lunch sacks, heart glow necklaces, random pencils and note cards. Yes, I would say it's high time we cleaned this out.
...missionary work is never done. Elder Scott and Elder Cordon stopped by for a chat with the ward mission leader. It's always great to see the Elders. So glad we can be a part of missionary work.
...we walked up to the park by our new house. It's nice to still have a park close by. Lainey enjoyed the swings.
...we had a happy St. Patrick's Day thanks to Emma's text reminder from her bus this morning. Claire drew a cute little leprechaun to start us off right.
...we messed around while we were waiting for parent teacher conferences. Emma is always so good to make faces for me.
