My Happy Birthday Gift

Jason's mom made me these nifty potholders for my birthday. I guess they were used on Rachel Ray. They are connected in the middle so you don't burn your arms. I know, clever!

Full Toy Access, Almost!

They are almost ready to open the toys.
We can hardly wait!

Fly like an Airplane

We just couldn't stay away. We went over to the park, because the toys are almost done, and played a little...on the grass even. :)

We walked.

We ran.

We danced and laughed.

We flew like airplanes,

and walked the far reaches of the park.

We admired the grass once again.
Oh what fun to play at the park!

Orange Library Card

We went to a new library branch.
Fun for the kids, not so much for me.
I will be requesting ALL my books through the internet and
then just picking them at the reserve center.
I will go again...without Lainey...until she's older!

Found Pockets

Lainey has found her pockets!
It was so cute to see her stick her hands in her pockets and then walk around.
She looked like she was just taking a nice afternoon stroll.

A birthday party & Freeze Dance

A birthday party
at M Crew Dance Studio
in Broadmoor Mall

A dance party
for little dancing feet

We played a game called Freeze Dance -
when the music plays, you dance;
when it stops, you freeze.

Lainey loved that game, and didn't like it too well when the music stopped.

She also enjoyed being the center of attention, trying on glasses and making silly faces.

Of course the boys would much rather wrestle than dance.

You're a Star!
I liked how my flash turned out in the mirror.

Playing at the neighbor's

We are finally getting a nieghbor on our left. We met them and they seem very nice. Phew! AHO was working on the lot, and of course some of my little ones found their way over there to play in this wonderful hole.

The Grass Is In!

It has been so fun to watch the grass come in over at the park. It has also been so hard to stay off of it so it can grow strong and lush. (No, not really) We just want to get out there and play so badly.

Sucker Stealer

Lainey is quick when it comes to taking candy from the other kids, especially suckers.
She whipped that sucker right out of Ben's mouth before he really even knew what had happened.
Naturally, he wasn't too thrilled. Then of course he tackled her to get it back.

Lost Letters

I'm working on the last of the vinyl for our last ward craft night.
The vinyl is so funny sometimes because the letters don't always stay put.
If you're careful, you can find the letter and put it back.
But the letters are awfully tricky sometimes.

For example, on this piece, I didn't even know that I was missing a letter.
I just happened to turn my hand and I saw the i stuck to my finger.
Then I went back to the last piece and found that I was indeed missing an i.
Can you see where?

Then shortly after the first missing i, I lost another one.
Only this time where it flew I knew not.
I checked my fingers and all around, but it could not be found.
As I kept going, I saw something out of the corner of my eye, in my hair.
It was the missing i! Can you see it in my hair?
(And do you see the lovely gray hair in that snatch of hair?)

These two lost letters made me laugh as I was working.
We find vinyl everywhere around here: on the bottom of shoes,
on clothes coming out of the washer/dryer, on our fingers and faces,
arms and legs, and there was even a burgundy piece on my brush.
