Lainey and the Radiologist

We took Lainey to the radiologist this morning. She spits up A LOT and so our doctor wanted to see if she might have reflux. We didn't feed her after 5:00 this morning and waiting until 9:00 and beyond because the radiologist was late this morning was sure hard on her. She was amazingly happy before we started and didn't care that the bottle I gave her was full of the chalky barium stuff. (The other kids were sure interested in her last two diapers full of white goodness.) I don't know that she has reflux...the radiologist just said that it looks like there is a delay as the milk passes through and out of the stomach. We'll go in next week to see our doctor and find out what that means. It may mean that we just deal with the spit up until she gets older.

filling the manger...

We've been having fun filling our manger when we do nice things for others in the family. We're trying to make a good bed for baby Jesus. We've only had to empty once so far...we were having a really crabby day.

Today was just an...ordinary day...

My friend Laura has done several pictures and then put scriptures to them. This rose in the snow made me think of the scripture in Isaiah (1:18) that says "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow." I am grateful for a Savior that makes that possible. I know that through Him we can repent and be made clean and pure again.

Yes, I'm older than Jason by two months. Today the young-un turned 31. We went over to a friend's house to have dinner and visit. It was sooooo much fun! I took some couples shots while we were there.

All wrapped up...

An updated picture of our booth. We brought some crates and plants for decoration.

We had so much fun at the Ware Fair! We saw our friend Pat with Pat's Happy Hats. We've seen her every year we've been there...which is probably four years. I picked out this very cool pink hat and needed to have a picture with our dear friend and talented crafter.

This is Cassie, one of our lucky giveaway winners. The giveaways were totally Jason's idea and it was the highlight of our whole weekend. My heart warmed as he told me over the phone of the couple (one of the first winners) who exclaimed in surprise when they won a set of seasonal blocks. I felt the warmth of the spirit of giving...and reveled in it as we worked together at the booth today.

Some people won because we drew their name in the drawing. Other people won because we were moved upon to share. Here are a couple of stories...

Last night Jason thought it would be fun to see what kind of names people had that entered the drawing before we shredded all the entry slips. He came across one for a girl named Morgan. He was so impressed with her handwriting (and it was very good handwriting) that we decided to call her in the morning and give her a set of blocks. It was so fun to tell her that she won not because her name was drawn, but because she had such good handwriting.

There was a young man that came by the booth yesterday with his brother. Jason asked them if they needed a gift for their mom for Christmas and if they'd like to win her a free sign. So they entered and Jason told them to have their phone close because we wouldn't leave a message. The guy joked that he would be sitting on his couch waiting for the call. Well, he didn't win a sign yesterday. Today this same young man came walking up, joking with Jason, saying "What happened man? I waited for the call and you didn't call." Jason joked back and had them enter the drawing again today. As they wrote down their names, Jason started asking questions about what kind of sign their mom would like. He picked one out and gave it to him. The guy couldn't believe it, "Really?" he said. Jason shook his hand and said, "Merry Christmas!" The young man said "Wow, you just made my day!" as he walked away. The look on his face, the smiles on our faces, the feeling we had made our day too.

We had so much fun we're thinking of going back next year to give more signs away...and maybe sell some!

Brushes in bulk...

It's the only way to go. Well, ok...we just recently went bulk. But I'm so thrilled that I will not run out of brushes for a very long time. And...we are now selling brushes for $.25 each. That's a very big box. HaHa! So when you place an order, let me know if you'd like to add a brush. :)

Smiling in spite of the snow!

We have been so thankful for good weather since we've been making the trek back up to E-burg. Jason said the first day went well. He did a giveaway which was a lot of fun for him and the people entering. He's going to do it again tomorrow and Saturday - so you locals get over there and put your name in. The event opens at 10 every day. He's there until 7:00 tomorrow and 3:00 on Saturday.

Ready for the big show...

The stress of getting ready for the Ware Fair in Ellensburg melted away as we put up our displays and set up the signs. How fun! I only wish I could sit there more days with Jason. We had a good friend come and help us set up and visit with us...it was fun to talk like old times. If you're in the area (Thursday, Friday, Saturday at the student recreation center) come and visit us. I'll be there with Jason on Saturday.
