Lief's Flowers

Gardening has become Dad Erickson's full time hobby since he recently retired. He has developed some beautiful flower beds at their home. Here are just a few samplings of the flowers.

New Pups & Scissor Happy

Jason picked up two new puppies for Grandpa Z. He's gone through three in the last six months or so. They don't seem to have much luck with cars. So we'll see how Flower and Junior do (those were their names when we got them).

Yes, the puppies rode in our van. Not my first choice, but at least they were in a tub.

They found a bone and were both fighting to hold on to it.

Benjamin strikes again.

My mom had hung this shirt, her favorite shirt, over the back of the computer chair in her office. Benjamin happened to obtain a pair of scissors and thought it would be a good idea to hide behind Dad's chair and proceed to cut the bottom of the shirt. I know, Trouble Master strikes again. Luckily, Jason was able to find replacement shirts in the same style at a Fred Meyer in Tri-Cities. We called his sister and she graciously agreed to go and pick them up for us. Phew!

Hot Lunch

During the summer we get to go to the High School for lunch. They have a program where the children are able to eat free The kids love the chance to get out and sample some of the delectable (I think that's one of my favorite words) hot lunch specials. :) Claire and Ben are proving to be my most non picky eaters. Gotta love that chocolate milk.

Lilies

Our lilies aren't nearly as tall and humongoid as my mom's, but they are just as beautiful. Happy blooming!

For Sale

Sadly, our renting experience here on 7th Avenue is coming to an end. We'll be moving soon. I hate moving.

Made with Love

Our attempt at a group shot

I just received the cutest quilt from Grandma Erickson for baby Lainey. I absolutely love it! I love how bright it is and all the different fairies. She is such a talented quilter and what makes it even better is all the love you know and feel went into creating it. Thanks so much Grandma E. We love it and Lainey will too. If I ever let her use it. :)

Tuckered Out & Mud

We were watching Holes today and Benjamin fell asleep at the laptop (our DVD player died, so we run movies through the laptop to the TV). He looks pretty comfortable.

No matter how many times we tell them to leave the water off and stay out of the mud, they just can't leave it alone. Paul loves to water the flowers and let the water run down in waterfalls to make mud. Fun for him; mess for me.

Pile of Books

Mom: Hey Paul, why did you take all your books out there?

Paul: Me wanted to read them.

That's some good reading.

They all wanted to be in front to cheer Lainey on during tummy time.

Growing Kids

For best results,
give plenty of sun, water, and dirt

This one made me smile

Our neighbors down a couple of houses are bringing in dirt to fill in their backyard pool. Jason went down with the kids to see the Mighty Machines (dump truck and bobcat) and then stayed to help move dirt. The kids obviously found something to do. They were in Heaven!
